Nuclear Renaissance in Asia and its Safety and Security Risks. A Regionally Based Comparison with European Union.
Asia was in 2011, and still is today, the main growth area for the nuclear expansion. Is the present global nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear security system strong enough to handle the enormous work involved in making possible a significant expansion of nuclear power? The purpose of this seminar is to discuss the nuclear expansion in Asia, its potential and security risks, at the backdrop of the experiences gained in the European Union to develop an effective and integrated nuclear non-proliferation and nuclear security system.
